This is just a trial run at an alternative method of blog composing not using blogger. I am using Apple notes as the basis.
What I am trying is writing in notes and uploading a photograph. Then copying the “post” completely then pasting it into blogger. That’s the idea so let’s see if it works
In the bay close to our apartment is moored The Al Mirqab yacht it is owned by Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, who served as Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. Not bad for a politician.
Ok. So it didn’t like uploading a heic image so I will convert it to a jpg and try it.
Ok so it worked as a jpg.
That was easier. I’m sure there will be problems but it’s a start👏
I've found in the past that if I copy and paste a jpg image into Blogger, rather than uploading it, it will show ... until some undefined time or occurrence in the future when it will disappear. Many, if not all, of the images I've pasted in to my posts are now gone (fortunately it's a method I only ever used for map snippets, so it's been obvious: a) what the link was between all the disappeared images; and b) what the image was. With a photo I would likely have struggled to know what exactly was originally in the now-empty box with a cross in the corner).

Hi Gayle. Always good to hear from you. I found that all my early images that I stored on Picasa disappeared so I suppose other unsupported storage systems act the same. I had some images modified using huge big labs and the too went awol.
ReplyDeleteI am currently writing a post using notes and so far I like it but it will take some time to publish as we are out most days enjoying Kefalonia.
I was happy to share my Blog posts, then when google bought Blogspot They informed me I needed a Domain address £10 ok, when I went to fill the form in they wanted £30 a month to keep it active. I've never posted since ! when will google buy China ? Dan Teddy Tour Teas
DeleteI have never had anything like that from Google and I don’t have any problems blogging using a notepad or desk top. It’s just blogging on the go with a phone that causes me problems. I’m sorry you had issues with Google, your blog posts are missed. I’m pretty sure Google can’t buy China especially the way Temu is going.
