Has anybody tried these snow and ice grips over this cold spell. They look intersting and at £15 a pair from Ellis Brigham they must be worth considering, not just for hiking but for more serious stuff like getting to the pub and back. Has anybody tried these snow and ice grips over this cold spell. They look intersting and at £15 a pair from Ellis Brigham they must be worth considering, not just for hiking but for more serious stuff like getting to the pub and back. Jason Klass did a video review on them. I reckon they are worth a go. Light and handy say on a Challenge in May with late snow still lying around on the Cairngorms.

ReplyDeleteI used some of these successfully on Ben Lomond last week. They grip very well on ice, but are definitely not mountaineering crampons!
