Greece break

We decided that enough was enough of the weather in UK. So we picked a holiday and went to Greece.
The island we are on has some lovely walking opportunities and we will do a couple of walks.
We only have 1 week and Sheila needs to chill out so it looks like I will have to suffer lying in the sun, drinking beer, eating yogurt and honey and finding the best stifado.

  2. Try pretending to be a jelly, then they'll just give you a soothing suck...

  3. There's something fishy about that! Think i will stay on the sand.

  4. Beware of the quicksand - we left our hire car in some when last in Greece. Embarrassing. If you find yourself lying in it, pretend to be a jelly. Hazardous occupation, beach holidays!...
    Do take care!

  5. We will keep that in mind. Hope there will be no quicksand at Old Trafford tonight.
We have found a bar that is showing the match.
Btw have you no hills to climb, you must have been home 3 days now. Ha.

  6. We are going to Cumbria tonight for some vicarious hills. (A slideshow in Stockport.) The mountain of digital images is causing a slight hiatus in real hills (but not for long). Don't drink too much of that Greek pop tonight, or you'll feel you are on quicksand!

    1. Drink enough of it and you won't care whether you're on quicksand or not! Until morning anyway. Have a great time.

  7. Martin/Gibson,
It was going to be difficult to come away without being completely quicksanded. I have known the owner of the bar for 27 yrs or so and have not seen him for 4 years. The match didn't finish until midnight and having got there a bit too early, suffered for the impatience.
Still, once in a while is ok i think. Pity no Holts though.
