Winter has arrived. Just.

Yesterday brought a stormy day. Not particularly high winds but snow laden clouds, snow showers and a chill. In comparison to other parts of the UK we were not having it too bad.
We had some fantastic skies to watch change minute by minute as well as watching the route of the falling snow as it enveloped the surrounding countryside. I don’t think it really got light all day.

The physio on Friday was pleased with the progress I was making with the knee but insisted that I shouldn't do more than about a 5 mile walk this weekend.
We had to go and pick up our meat order from a local farm and coupled with a visit to Tandle Hill park would just about make it 5 miles through nice scenery.
Considering that we had a light snow covering we were suprised that we saw so few people out enjoying the conditions.
So although it wasn't anything special, here are a few photos of our bimble. Taken with iPhone 6 and very small file size..

I tried but couldn’t push it over.

    1. Thanks Gibson. No adverse effects so far. Just 1 more session of physio on Wednesday and hopefully it will settle down.
The iphone 6 is not bad and considering each image is around 60kb no complaints.

    1. It was so slippery up there she almost fell off.

    2. That was my first thought, that it would have been tricky getting up there and then keeping your footing in the conditions. Particularly if it was one of the ones with a metal insert at the top - they can be like a skid pan.

    3. It did have a metal top Dave.

  5. Looks like somebody had a little epic whilst driving on that road! I hope they were toting clean undies. Don't overwork the knees!

  6. Its actually a bit steeper than the photo suggests and it wasn’t easy to get up unless you had 4 wheel drive. Or Lucky driving of course.
I am not overdoing the knees Mike, i want to get a full recovery if pos. Cheers.

  7. Fantastic Alan, good to see you out and about once more. In all probability it is would be anathema to you but have you considered a trekking pole to ease the load on the knee?

  8. Thanks Dawn. Anathema, I like it. Must admit I have not come across that word before. Walking poles. Mmm. Can you get them on the NHS.

  9. anathema, something a person strongly dislikes. Having had knee problems previously plus have arthritis in both feet, poles come in very handy on the hill. Also, they prove beneficial with the Parkinson's, re balance etc.
