  2. Surely not bearing in mind the heat of the blade. That's a damn good word for this time of night

  3. Let the wind blow high
    Let the wind blow low

  4. Brian, Hope it doesn’t harm those ground nesting birds!

  5. One blew down as well. Couldn't take 50mph gusts when the blades 'free-wheeled'!

  6. After urgent talks with the industry spin-doctors, they are to be re-branded as "Breeze Turbines"

  7. Oldmortality. You know, hindsight is a wonderful thing. You have to feel sorry for legislators who put something that looks like it was designed for desert type countries into harsh Scotland, don't you?

    Nah, just take the P.

  8. An impressive picture, Alan. What a shame it is not New Year, that would make nice fireworks.

It's blowing here, too. Gusty wind with icy rain/sleet showers.

  9. I hope nobody got hurt, no wild creatures either, but when I saw the front of the Metro on this morning's train I did entertain a few unworthy thoughts.

Let's hope the energy company sees it as part of their responsibility to clean up the debris.

  10. Maria,
It makes you wonder why they were up there in the first place with a camera.
